Former Aide Granted Immunity, Meets with Prosecutors Multiple Times

Supreme Court Justice Rejects "Just Following Orders" Defense

Amidst the ongoing investigation into former President Donald Trump, Mark Meadows, his final chief of staff in the White House, has testified before a federal grand jury as part of special counsel Jack Smith's probe.

Meadows, who was granted immunity in exchange for his cooperation, has met with federal prosecutors on at least three occasions this year, according to sources close to the investigation.

In a separate development, Meadows requested the Supreme Court to recognize his "just following orders" defense. However, a right-wing justice expressed skepticism, questioning the validity of such a claim in the context of an investigation involving the former president.

Meanwhile, a state grand jury in Arizona indicted several Trump aides, including Rudy Giuliani, Mark Meadows, and Boris Epshteyn, as well as individuals known as "fake electors" who backed Trump following the 2020 election.
