Just Following Orders Defense

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Supreme Court on Thursday turned away a request by former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows to overturn a lower court ruling that rejected his claim of immunity from a grand jury subpoena in the investigation into efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election.
The justices, without comment, left in place the lower court rulings that said Meadows, a close ally of former President Donald Trump, must testify before a grand jury in Fulton County, Georgia, about his role in the alleged efforts by Trump and his allies to pressure state officials to change the results of the election.
